It argued that while recent growth had been buoyed by factors such as public Wi-Fi deployments and 4G rollout, in the medium term sales would receive a strong boost from the trend of social media companies to act as direct sales platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>In-store and Online Integration \u2018Critical\u2019<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new research, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.juniperresearch.com\/researchstore\/commerce-money\/mobile-online-purchases\/cards-carrierbilling-third-party-payment-platforms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mobile &amp; Online Purchases: Cards, Carrier Billing &amp; Third Party Payment Platforms 2015-2020<\/a>&nbsp;observed that online retailers were increasingly seeking to reduce time-to-consumer by launching same-day delivery, while \u2018bricks and mortar\u2019 stores now widely offered next-day in-store collection \u2013 often charging a premium for this option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the research cautioned that retailers need to deliver a consistency of message, branding and shopping experience across all channels.
